Bournemouth University International Foundation Certificate (BU IFC Scholarship)

This scholarship is offered to students who are studying the BU International Foundation Certificate (IFC) course at Kaplan International College, Bournemouth and who have applied to study an undergraduate course (Bachelors degree) at BU beginning in September 2011. Applicants must demonstrate they already have an outstanding academic and personal profile.
Which nationalities may apply for this scholarship?
All applicants paying fees at the ′international′ (non-EU rate) are eligible to apply.

INTRODUCTION
HEC developed the scholarship program “Provision of Higher Education Opportunities for Students of Balochistan and FATA” who do not have educational opportunities at par with other areas of the country and belong to the less privileged areas of Balochistan and FATA. The project has provision of 4-weeks Foundation Course for the 400 students aspiring to take undergraduate studies at quality education Institutions of the country. The Foundation Course will be conducted at Quetta and Peshawar. The Foundation Course aims at enhancing the analytical, writing and comprehension skills and would help the students to compete in the test for the award of scholarship under the scheme to be advertised later.

The interseted candidates are advised to go thorugh the eligibilty criteria of the Foundation course, required documents, FAQs and important information; before submitting their application for the foundation course.

Eligibility/Entry Requirements

The applicant must hold a university degree (MSc/BSc or equivalent) in Earth Sciences at the time of appointment. A strong background in petrology is expected. Fluent spoken and written English is required. The scholarship require ability to do fieldwork in a boreal landscape. Ability and willingness to travel to conferences, fieldtrips and workshops and analytical work (mainly Sweden and Canada) is essential; so is participation as a teaching assistant in the Geology Programme at Lund University.
